Meet Brownie!
Brownie is a super sweet, outgoing and friendly Puggle (Pug/Beagle) that is looking for a family to call her own. She was rescued from a horrible animal-hoarding situation in southern Illinois. She was one of over 70 animals taken from the hoard. She was covered in filth, and her nails had grown into curls. Because her nails were so long, the quick (the blood vessel inside the nail) has grown out, and her nails have to be cut back slowly in order to shorten the quick to where it should be. She has overcome so much, and would be so grateful to have a loving home. She would be great with kids and other pets.

  • Please note that because our shelter is located in southern Illinois, about 6 hours away, our animals are ONLY available for adoption at our adoption events in Buffalo Grove, IL!

**Puppies 5 months and older are spayed/neutered prior to adoption
*Quarantine period has already been completed prior to animals attending the event, and adopters are able to take their adopted pets home from events
*ALL ITEMS INCLUDED IN YOUR PET'S ADOPTION FEE HAVE BEEN COMPLETED BY THE TIME THE PET ATTENDS THE ADOPTION EVENT. The animals listed currently on our site will meet our 21 day quarantine requirement (M.A.R.S. protocol) just prior to the most current upcoming adoption event.
M.A.R.S. has an AMAZING pre-adoption vaccination program- we do ALL 3 puppy shots PRIOR to adoption. When comparing different rescue organizations, know what your adoption fee will cover BEFORE you attend adoption events, or meet any animals.
