About Ebbie and Lil Bit BONDED PAIR | |

Meet Ebbie and Lil Bit!
These two adorable dogs are a "bonded pair" and should be adopted together.
Ebbie is a teeny tiny, 6 year old female, long haired Chihuahua mix, and Lil Bit is a 4 year old male teacup Chihuahua. Ebbie is a sweet and friendly little lady, but prefers only to be with Lil Bit (she does not like sharing food, toys or attention with any other dogs than Lil Bit). Lil Bit is a rather interesting little fellow- he is the product of backyard breeding, and he is the product of breeding the runt of the litter with another runt of another litter, and so on. He is a nice little guy, but loves to run around with Ebbie and is very difficult to get a hold of once he is out running around, so... a fenced yard is a must with him, and we also recommend a collar or harness every time he is let out. He is SO tiny, that he can fit through a chain link fence. These two curl up together, share food, water, toys and a bed, and Ebbie acts more like a mother to Lil Bit. Ebbie has been spayed and is up to date on medical care. Lil Bit, on the other hand, is up to date on medical care, but cannot be neutered. He is so tiny, and has such a delicate system that when his neuter was attempted, his heart rate dropped so much, they could not continue (he has undescended testicles, so it is an internal surgery on top of that).
These two need a loving home that will show them what it feels like to be a part of a family, and get all the attention they deserve. They will need to be crated when they cannot be watched, as they are so small, and while they are pad trained, they are not considered house trained.

- Please note that because our shelter is located in southern Illinois, about 3 hours south of Champaign, our animals are available for adoption in Champaign only during scheduled events, and are available in Murphysboro, IL between events, by appointment.
